Becoming a Member
Sisters in the Eta Phi chapter are a part of a community of amazing young women who foster the creation and education of music throughout the Penn State University campus. We have weekly chapter meetings to discuss business and hold social events throughout the year to help further our fellowship as a group.
Interested in becoming a member?
The first step in the process to to get to know us!
-
Come to recruitment week events (found here)
-
Attend a social chapter to see what we're all about (just let us know before hand!)
-
Talk to us! We're more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the chapter and the membership process. (Our faces/names can be found here!)
The next step is to become a member-in-training!
-
At the end of recruitment week, you let us know if you're ready for the commitment
-
Big-Little week happens after this, and you get a bunch of mystery gifts from you're big!
-
Then, we all attend a MIT Pledge Night!
-
After pledge night, you will attend weekly training meetings to give you the ins and outs of the fraternity and prepare you for the National Exam
-
You also will arrange and perform a recital for the chapter members!
-
Your big will help you through this whole process!
-
You then will take the National Exam! It sounds a little intimidating, but you have multiple toys to get a perfect score. We all will also be there along the way to help prepare you for it, so don't worry!!
After the you pass the exam, you attend initiation, and then you are an official sister!
